Sons of Anarchy

I started watching Sons of Anarchy on Netflix out of a whim and became very intrigued in the show.  The show ran for seven years and I remember looking at the commercials of the show every time it came back around but never watched the show until now, I cannot remember why it was not that interesting to me then, but became very interesting to me now.  I didn’t realize that Kurt Sutter the creator and writer of the show, was also one of the actors of the show his name is or was Otto "Big Otto" Delaney, every time you saw him he was in jail doing things for the club, or Motorcycle Club, oh did I forget this was about a Motorcycle club and Outlaws.  Who doesn’t like Cowboys and Indians, but the craziest thing is that it has a Shakespearean theme to it. I should also say that this show at times is very gruesome, if that is not for you, then this not the show for you.  It is very understated but if you pay close attention Hamlet is written all over it in a now sort of way.  Charlie Hunnam who played the captivating and very handsome Jackson “Jax” Teller.  He brought so much to the role conflicted with what he needs to do for his family to what he was raised into and what to believe.  Watching him being conflicted and watching him navigate through all the different emotions, never knowing what he is going to do next or what he was thinking.  But it was a joy to watch.  But I do have to say they say, “Jesus Christ” more than any television show I have seen, I don’t know if it is Kurt Sutter’s favorite word or what.  The show also had some very big hitters like the ever-amazing former Peggy Bundy, turned Queen of the Bikers Gemma Teller Morrow, Katey Sagal, also Maggie Siff who played Jax’s love interest Dr. Tara Knowles, she was conflicted with everything, but her love for her family and Jax could never be matched, she also brought a type of passion to the character that no one else could've brought to the character.  Or should I say she was the fair Ophelia and Jax was Hamlet.  I must say that the show had it hilarious moments if you caught them, because of course it is a drama series. No one, but Michael Ornstein who played the very strange and quirky Chuck “Chucky” Marstein, he was kept me laughing through the whole seven seasons.  The subtle humor in the show was a zinger the one liners they have are even better.  This is definitely the show to watch, but as I always say that this is just My Opinion, what’s yours?
