Cirque du Soleil's Immortal: A Tribute to Michael Jackson

I have awaiting the Michael Jackson's Immortal done by Cirque du Soleil since 2010, and it finally came to the Staples's Center Saturday evening 01/28/2012.  First of all, let just say that I was introduced to Michael Jackson when the song "Thiller" came out and was tormented by my god sister and her best friend about it when I was like five years old.  But Michael also intrigued me as well.  He grew up in the spotlight, he never had a childhood, growing up his best friend was a rat.  When he got older and was on is own, that is when he became a child and built Neverland Ranch and had a pet monkey named Bubbles.  Most people thought he was unorthodox, I wanted to know him.  Unfortunately, I never got that wish because his time came to an end to soon.  So I could just come closer to my wish I went to this amazing tribute that was given by the amazing people that brought you Iris, OVO.  It was amazing the flying, and dancing and the story that came from Michael Jackson's life.  Besides them having the same memorable dance moves like Smooth Criminal, Jackson 5's ABC, 123, Heal the World, and of course Thiller. They even had music never heard of by Michael Jackson.  The experience was wonderful and if you have the time, and money please go to see this amazing tribute.
*Disclaimer: I would have pictures or a video snippets, but unfortunately cameras were not allowed in the perrformance.
I would love feedback and questions, because this just My Opinion.

Red Tails 1/27/2012

Last weekend I went and saw an amazing film it was called "Red Tails", directed by George Lucas, you know the guy who did the Star Wars trilogy and the prequels to this imaginative franchise.  Can I officially say that the movie was amazing.  It had everything, love, a brotherhood, an teaching of respect.  The cool thing is normally most movies that are of historical nature have a love story and that is the main focus, but with this film its main focus was the Tuskegee Airmen, and the adversity they had to endure to prove themselves worthy for the war.  The many questions that I have are 1.) Why wasn't this film released last year to be considered for the Oscars, or for later this year to be considered for the 2013 Oscar's, because from what I have witnessed in the past years for the Award season is that the films starting from the Summer Blockbusters to the ones that come out closer to the end of the year are the films considered for the hard to get golden statue named Oscar. The reason you ask is due to there being more buzz because the film is fresh in everybodys minds.  While the movies from earlier in the year just fall on deaf ears. Also, not to mention the fact that the cast was amazing, Terrence Howard, Nate Parker, David Oyelowo, Tristan Wilds, NeYo, and Cuba Gooding Jr., along with the rest of the cast have unspeakable talent. 2.) Not to undermine what I just said about the cast because they did have wonderful chemistry even the kid that played Miles in Moesha, he played his character as Deacon very well, but where was Chris Brown and why wasn't he attached to this project, because I thought would've been his cup of tea, as a rising actor, and see what he can bring to the table and not just be a bad boy, like he was in the music industry and he rose above that.  Or Brandon Jackson, he has a resume that would turn heads and this would be something that would stretch his range even farther, even though he is already attached to the Percy Jackson films.  3.) Why now for this type of movie, and why was it so hard for George Lucas to get funding?  Especially, for George Lucas, the man who brought us the Star Wars franchise, and the Indiana Jones franchise, and American Graffiti.  All these films I named are blockbuster, if not in the theatres, but definitely in the Video, DVD, and merchandising.  Can anyone answer these questions for me, or does anyone have any of their own that can be a conversational piece on this movie "Red Tails".  We are going back too wonderful movie making in MY Opinion.

First Post 1/27/2012

This is my first blog post and I have a lot to say on many different subjects and that is what this blog is all about.  Information that I read and have an opinion on or just information that people want to know about celebrities, and views on love and relationships.  Whatever that stricks my fancy for the day and if I come across pictures that I like I will post them too.  Of course I will reveal my source of the pictures, but if I get opinions from my friends, and family I might not reveal those to keep them safe, unless they allow me to use their names even though you might not know who they are.  If you have something that you want me talk about on this blog then just send it as a IM on FB or Twitter.  As time goes on hopefully I will find out information on my own without having to read about or get secret sources.  If this is something that intrigues you keep reading because it will get good.  I will also talk about movies, books, clothing stores, and shoes, and please remember the information I am talking about is simply my opinion on the information that I am giving out nothing more.  I know I have alot to learn but as we go forward it should be a fun ride.
